The one-way road is in progress, and the sewage and site water remediation is ongoing. In the next month there will be more focused effort on interiors. Please continue to pray for multiple aspects of this project including the new spaces between the buildings. We are trying to optimize function, be good stewards of our finances and consider how everyone could use the space.

The interior foundation has been poured, and we welcome everyone to come write prayers, praises, or a favorite Bible verse on the walls (under 7 feet please). Bring a sharpie and sign your name! Our prayers and messages will be hidden in the walls as a time capsule. Plan what you want to say ahead of time! This is also still a construction site, so come at your own risk. Please exit the area after, to allow the next person to enter.

Completion of the roof is required prior to pouring the interior foundation. Due to the complexity of the roof installation, updated code requirements and the hot weather, the installation of the roof took an extra 3-4 weeks. There will be a delay in signing the interior walls of the gym, but we hope to invite the congregation sometime at the end of August/September.
Ongoing site work, sewer connection and excavation for the new one-way road continue. As the land around the building changes, we are adjusting infrastructure as needed.
Please pray for the site and building contractor teams as they work hard under occasionally unpredictable and sometimes challenging conditions. We pray for continued progress and for God’s hand to be on the things seen and unseen.

In June, the walls started going up! Next items include finishing the roof and pouring the entire interior slab. The site contractor and the building contractor are carefully working together as they navigate a relatively small site footprint. There are many large beams, panels, piping and machinery that need to share the same space.
If items are installed as planned, we hope to invite the congregation at the end of July to write prayers and favorite verses on the lower part of the gym walls before they are closed.
Please pray for the smooth completion of site water connections and continued work on the building. We praise God for the progress so far!

It was an exciting month in May as the steel beams were delivered and installed on the sides and roof.
We were also able to meet our church council match 2 weeks prior to the deadline! We are so grateful for the faithful and generous giving of many. We pray God will use this opportunity mightily!
Throughout the summer, please continue to give regularly to the general CBE fund as anything extra will be saved for completing the classrooms and 2nd sanctuary/chapel.

We started our Spring 2026 CBE Fundraising campaign. Don't miss the opportunity to have your gift doubled by May, 31 2026 by a generous church council donor match of up to $97k! There are various “gifts” you can contribute to including gym equipment, exterior lighting, audio/visual equipment or hardscaping and contingency.
But more importantly, we welcome everyone to contribute to the future growth of God’s kingdom as we expand ways to reach out to others!

Foundation preparation and steel delivery have been further delayed due to the weather, but Praise God the foundation preparation recently started. Steel delivery is now estimated for May/June 2026. The sewer connection and drainage will be shifted to summer.
The foundation is one of the most important parts of the entire building, anchoring everything above it. We pray for wisdom and strength for the workers as they build this physical foundation, and we pray we always look to God as our foundation and strength.
We thank everyone for your flexibility with parking and walking routes as we adjust to the construction at our church. Please continue to pray for funding for exterior lighting, better materials, gym facilities and technology items. We are also exploring ways to maximize our outdoor spaces.

It has been recognized by church staff and volunteers to improve the overall safeguarding of our church. This includes the safety initiatives we have been implementing throughout the year.
Children and youth needs are different. While not directly connected to the safety updates, CBE expanding space for youth and more classrooms, would allow a more focused children's space which allows us to customize features we would not be able to implement without the additional square footage.
