On Dec 18, 2024, the new revised site plans for stormwater management and permit applications were submitted to the Lexington Town Conservation Committee.

The Lexington Town Conservation Committee only meet every other week, but if they do not have quorum (due to travel, illness, holidays, schedule conflicts), they do not meet. We also do not know how many other proposals are being discussed at each meeting.

Please pray for prioritization for our project and an expedited and favorable reply. We praise our all-knowing God, who has perfect timing.

2024 年 12 月 18 日，新修订的雨水管理场地规划和许可证申请已提交给莱克星顿镇保护委员会。

莱克星顿镇保护委员会每隔一周才开会一次，但如果他们没有法定人数（由于旅行、疾病、假期、日程冲突），他们就不会开会。我们也不知道每次会议上会讨论多少其他提案。

"A swale is a grassy depression that controls stormwater velocity and infiltrates runoff where feasible. Swales are typically used to channel stormwater from a street or sidewalk to a rain garden or basin." 

窪地是一個長滿草的窪地，可以控制雨水流速並在可行的情況下滲透徑流。窪地通常用於將雨水從街道或人行道引導到雨水花園或盆地。

The initial proposal was very expensive for remediation. We are working with an internal professional land and water engineer to come up with other strategies. This may or may not include a swales and a design approach of "porous parking" which allows reduction of expensive subsurface pre-treatment and chamber systems. Praise God that the Lexington Conservation Committee members and external peer reviewer did not object to the new approach. The engineers and general contractor are finalizing site designs for formal presentation.

My home church Evangelical Chinese Church (ECC) in Seattle, WA had a small sister congregation north of Seattle and they had been renting a space for years until this one came on the market. The new space has a multipurpose gym. They're hoping to have activities every night to welcome the local community for volleyball, pickleball, ping-pong and...zumba (here is my mom, back right corner-sorry Mom!) :)  And the other photo is another younger group setting up for volleyball. 

We have a thriving table-tennis ministry at CBCGB that meet in the basement at least 3-4 times a week- with a wait list! I was encouraged to hear that ~70% on the list are non-believers. I can only imagine how a future space like this could be used at CBCGB. 😊

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”  Matthew 9:37-38 ESV

我位於華盛頓州西雅圖的家鄉福音華人教會（ECC）在西雅圖以北有一個小型的姊妹會眾，他們多年來一直在租用一個空間，直到這個空間上市。新空間設有多功能健身房。他們希望每晚都有活動來歡迎當地社區的排球、泡菜球、乒乓球和…尊巴舞（這是我媽媽，後右角——對不起媽媽！）:) 另一張照片是另一張年輕的照片排球小組設置。 

我們 CBCGB 有一個蓬勃發展的乒乓球部，每周至少在地下室聚會 3-4 次 - 並有等候名單！聽到名單上大約 70% 的人都是非信徒，我感到很鼓舞。我只能想像未來這樣的空間如何在 CBCGB 中使用。 😊
